DOC IS VERY ACTIVE IN THE CHIROPRACTIC COMMUNITY
• Past president of Southern Chiropractic Association
• Past president of Florida Chiropractic Society
• Past president of Dade County Society
• Voted by his collegagues "CHIROPRACTOR OF THE YEAR" in the State of Florida in 1998
• Was given the prestigious "CHIROPRACTOR OF THE YEAR" award in the state of Florida, he was also selected as the Chiropractor of the year in Dade County.
• Former faculty member of Logan college of Chiropractic, St. Louis, MO
He has taught Chiropractic art and philosophy to thousands of Chiropractors and Chiropractic students in the USA and Europe. His proudest achievement is that all four of his children have followed in his footsteps and are all Doctors of Chiropractic.
DR. ACCURSO’S BIOGRAPHY
He was born in Elmhurst, Queens, New York. Both his parents were Italian;his Dad was born in a small town south of Palermo Sicily. Mom’s family is from a small town North of Rome known as Acua Santa.
He is the only son in his family. He has three sisters, Angie, Peggy and Margaret.
Two of Doc's children, Joe III and Amy practice in Miami, Jenny practices in Virginia and Ali practices in Oslow, Norway.Doc is now a grandfather of 6 and loving every moment of it!
His wife, Vesna Markovic Accurso,and him live in South Miami. She has three children, Tiana, Ivan and Fernando. Fernando is 17 years old. He attends Columbus High School and hopes to grow up to be a dictator of a small third world island in the Caribbean.
Dr.Joe is a Die Hard Miami Hurricanes Fan!
